Rossini: Introduction, Theme and Variations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the musicians<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Andrew Simon, clarinet<\/strong> [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hkphil.org\/player\/andrew-simon\">full description<\/a>]<br>Andrew Simon, Principal Clarinet of the Hong Kong Philharmonic since 1988 and a Juilliard graduate, is renowned for his virtuosity and musicianship, with a global performance career that includes premieres of significant works and acclaimed recordings such as&nbsp;<em>HOT<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Ebony and Ivory<\/em>. He teaches at major institutions in Hong Kong and lectures internationally, and during COVID-19, he created the popular online series \u201cAndy\u2019s Licorice Talk.\u201d Notably, Simon is the first American-born musician to perform in North Korea and is recognized for his adventurous spirit beyond music.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Warren Lee, piano<\/strong> [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.warren-lee.com\/bio\">full description<\/a>]<br>Warren Lee, praised as a \u201cfirst-rate artist\u201d by American Record Guide, has performed globally with leading orchestras and debuted with the Hong Kong Philharmonic at age six. A Steinway Artist since 2009, he has won top prizes including the 1995 Stravinsky Awards and Grand Prix Ivo Pogorelich, released 11 acclaimed albums, and excelled as a composer, educator, and cultural leader.
